Our fall dinner meeting will be held on Thursday, November 12th, 2015, at Dynasty Chinese Cuisine in Toronto.  We are pleased to have Mr. Doug Andrews, Adjunct Professor and Director, Master of Actuarial Science Program, University of Waterloo, to be our guest speaker of this event.  The topic will be

"Considerations in Mapping the Adequacy and Sustainability of Care and Support for the Elderly in Australia and Developed Countries in Asia"

Doug's research has an international dimension and focuses on financial and social policy issues with respect to support systems for aging populations.

The focus of this presentation concerns the methodology developed to evaluate adequacy and sustainability. This research differs from other research regarding adequacy and sustainability in that it considers retirement income, health care, and long-term care together, instead of evaluating those sources of protection individually and in isolation.  The results for 11 developed countries on 4 continents will be discussed, illustrating a wide range of outcomes, and producing some policy recommendations.

Join us for an informative presentation and Chinese banquet meal.
